I present to you my beat up, second hand copy of Hemingway's The Sun Also Rises. I purchased it in the Spring of 1998. Right before I left to spend the summer in England, I gave it to Tiger, who read it and loved it too. We had a big blow up in November of that year and didn't speak for six months, and it was under the pretense of returning the book that he got back in contact with me. But I digress... I had always enjoyed writing (and reading), but this was the first "literature" book that really spoke to me (As opposed to the other "literature" books that I had read, but only got the satisfaction of scratching them off my to-read list out of them.) and made me really dream about becoming a writer.
